Under the Sea

Surface Blue
mixed media on canvas, 11"x14"

Blue is the water at the surface of our dreams
composite memories make a new reality
everything below is not as it seems.

This is my illustration friday painting. #2 in the series of 4. I think you have seen the others?

Today is a glorious sunshiney day. What will you do with this one wild and beautiful life today?

The word for the day is ... complete ... as in something or someone who helps make you whole, a finish to a project and a great breakfast!

(off to have one of my own) Have a beautiful day!

Hi Susan,

My name is Todd Bonita and I stumbled accross your blog on the illustration Friday sight. I love your work! I am from Greenland, NH, I suspect we are practically neigbors. I just wanted to say hello to a local artist. Check out my blog if you'de like: http://painting-life.blogspot.com/

By-the-way...how did you enable that beautiful, red abstract painting to be at the top of your title page with your ART ESPRIT font at the top of your blog. I would love to do something like this on my blog but I could not find the how-to in the help section. Any assistance would be apreciated.

Keep painting, you're awesome!

All my best,

Todd Bonita

Another wonderful piece!

This almost shimmers. I'd so much rather see these in person as I suspect they lose a dimension here. Nice work again, Susan.

This series is soulful...transcendental, and this piece is so wonderfully composed (I love the blue sphere and the dark line markings). The blues and greens are elemental, and the texture of the paint creates a feeling of meditation and movement, very much as if I were watching fish swimming all around me. Your gallery of pantings is slendid!
